Rupert Grint, Warwick Davis and other 'Potter' stars offer up some creative ideas for the Orlando, Florida, park.
By Josh Wigler
ORLANDO, Florida — The books are long finished, the movies are now over, but all it takes is one step inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, to know that "Potter" is forever.
Still, despite the ever-flowing butterbeer and copious amounts of "Potter"-based roller-coaster rides, there's always room for improvement, even at the Wizarding World. After all, the "Potter" universe is just too grand to fit every single element into one theme park. With that in mind, when MTV News traveled down to Orlando to cover the red-carpet celebration of the "Deathly Hallows Part 2" DVD release, we asked the cast and crew to weigh in on which features of J.K. Rowling's imaginative world they'd like to see included in future park updates.
Jessie Cave, who plays lovelorn Lavender Brown in "Half-Blood Prince," suggested a new means of transportation for the park: "I think instead of being allowed to walk here, everyone should have to arrive by Hogwarts Express. You wouldn't actually have to walk. It'd be just the most comfortable trip ever!"
James and Oliver Phelps, better known as the mischievous Weasley twins, focused on a different mode of flying — via broomstick.
"If it were actually possible, maybe [it'd be cool] for an actual Quidditch match to go on," Oliver said. "Something like that would be quite cool to watch if that were actually possible to do."
Wishful thinking, perhaps — the technology probably isn't quite there to catch a real-life golden snitch just yet. But the rest of the "Potter" cast tried to think in more practical terms, offering their ideas on attractions that could be added to the park in the coming years. Several of the actors, including Warwick Davis and Rupert Grint, suggested the Gringotts breakout as an excellent possibility for a roller-coaster ride.
"Wouldn't that be great? You could join Griphook on the cart," Davis, who plays the aforementioned goblin, said of his Wizarding World wish-list. "And it's already done!"
"The Gringotts vault would be a really cool ride, I think," agreed Grint, who played courageous hero Ron Weasley over the course of eight "Potter" films. "Also, the flying car!"
Some castmembers didn't need to look much further than their own reflections to find suggestions for Wizarding World improvements.
"I've been thinking of a ride, a Luna ride," offered Evanna Lynch, speaking of her own character, the loopy Luna Lovegood. "You know all of the creatures she dreams up, all of the creatures that she mentions throughout the books, I like to think that there would be a roller coaster, and each cart would be a new creature. It'd be in the dark and there'd be all these projections of creatures flying around."
"I don't know what it's like to be stoned," she added, "but I imagine it feels something like that!"
And Jason Isaacs, who plays Voldemort loyalist Lucius, believed it was high time for the Malfoy clan to get some Wizarding World love. "There should be a Malfoy ride," he said. "I don't know why there isn't a Malfoy House of Horrors that you can enter as Lucius and leave as Lucius post-Azkaban."
Of course, Isaacs wasn't the only one thinking of his own character.
"We all want a ride based on us," he said. "It's a fantastic place here. The only thing that's missing is, obviously, me!"
Share your own Wizarding World suggestions in the comments!

Earlier today we saw some more proof of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in Verizon's internal systems, and here we have the device passing through the FCC. While we patiently wait for Verizon's big announcement of the device, we can be happy to see the device moving along the approval path. The device comes complete with an LTE radio, as well as a CDMA radio, but no GSM radio in sight here. Now we sit and patiently wait for Big Red to bring us an official launch date so we can get our hands on it!

Keyboards are a big deal on Android. Some let you swipe, other peck, but regardless of the method, they all have one thing in common: they're how you say anything on your phone. So imagine my excitement when I'm introduced to a new keyboard, promising more bacon never-before-seen levels of text prediction, all in a nice, shiny, new beta package.
I just had to try it out, and it is, in a word, meh. That's not to say it's terrible, but if you're perfectly content with your keyboard (be it Swype, SwiftKey X, SlideIT, or any of the other myriad of keyboards out there), you probably won't be switching over anytime soon.
First thing you've got to do after you've installed Adaptxt Beta is download a language pack. Not a huge deal, and it's not out of the ordinary. The language packs are called add-ons in Adaptxt, but nothing really prompts you to that. It's fairly self-evident because most of your options are greyed out, so go into the Add-on Manager and pick a language.
From there, there's not much to do. The settings menu is pretty barebones. You can enable or disable error correction, auto correction, and define the auto correction mode (which is set to medium by default). There's also an option for an extended character bubble and the interaction feedback settings.
So what's my beef with Adaptxt Beta? For one, I don't think it looks very good. The keys are smaller than on most of the other popular keyboards, the color scheme is unappealing, and the text prediction didn't blow my mind.
In fact, sometimes it feels like Adaptxt is less accurate at predicting than even the stock Android keyboard. Where other keyboards look like they try to make sense of what you're saying (for example, not tossing out seemingly random combinations of letters), Adaptxt Beta does just that. I get that it's trying to make sense of your current keystrokes. Still, it just muddies up the waters. Qua? Eva? Really?
On the upside, maybe we can chalk it up to the fact that it's in beta. Everyone gave Google a pass on their beta stuff, so I'll give KeyPoint Technologies the benefit of the doubt that they'll iron these little niggles out and continue to improve upon their product. At least it's free, right?

Let me be the first to say, yes, I know this app has a redundant name. It's called Rotating Live Wallpaper, but its full name is RLW Live Wallpaper Pro. So you've got LW Live Wallpaper, which essentially translates into Live Wallpaper Live Wallpaper, but I digress.
At first glance, RLW Live Wallpaper looks startlingly similar to Mystic Halo, but upon closer inspection you'll notice it's less TRON and more Honeycomb, actually. It looks like the stock Honeycomb clock widget if it got bloated and put on a few extra rings.
What RLW gets you is a series of circles that... rotate. You can have up to seven circles on the screen at once and control the rotation direction of each one individually. You can also mess with the size of the circle, so it'll take up as much (or as little) of the screen as you want.
Perhaps the best feature of RLW is the theming. It comes with five themes included, but there's also a slew of free ones in the Market. The developer was also kind enough to toss in a link with the template, so anyone can design a theme if they want to.
As far as performance goes, there's just the slightest hint of lag (we're talking nearly unnoticeable here) when scrolling from screen to screen on my tablet. On my phone, things are a bit better, but I'm not sure why.
It also needs to be noted that not all the themes look great on a tablet. While they're definitely great looking on a phone, certain themes look slightly grainy or pixelated when blown up to a full 10 inches. It's kind of hit or miss, so you'll have to cycle through your options to see what looks the best for you.
All in all, it's a pretty cool live wallpaper, even if the whole rotating circles thing has been done before. RLW Live Wallpaper Pro is 99 cents in the Android Market.
We've got a video, more screenshots, and download links after the break.

Pop star's film will have a one-week theatrical run starting December 9.
By Jocelyn Vena
It's been a big week for Madonna news. A version of her song "Give Me All Your Love," off her still-in-the-works next album, leaked, much to the Queen of Pop's dismay. And now comes word that her film "W.E." won't hit theaters until next year.
Directed by Madonna, "W.E." was originally slated to open around the holiday season on December 9, but now it will have only a limited, one-week run beginning on that date before opening wide on February 3, the Weinstein Company confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. The short theatrical debut does, however, qualify the film for any awards-show consideration.
The new February 3 release date would also coincide with a February 5 Super Bowl performance that Madge is rumored to be planning. In September, the singer screened the film at the Venice Film Festival to mixed reviews. "W.E." follows the love story between American divorcee Wallis Simpson and Britain's Prince Edward, as well as that of a modern-day woman (played by Abbie Cornish) obsessed with the couple.
In addition to "W.E.," Madonna is set to release her album in the spring. Along with production assistance from Ray of Light producer William Orbit, rumor has it that both Nicki Minaj and rapper M.I.A. will make guest appearances.
"Madonna has phenomenal understanding of both the minutiae of music and the big picture. Zooming in, zooming out. 4ever amazing. Plus VISION!!!" Orbit recently tweeted about the highly anticipated record. "Working with Madonna is a treat. Fantastic tracks and vibes. Going deep. She's ON IT !!! This is THE album!"

There is a lot of streaming video services out there these days aside from Youtube. One of the more popular ones is Dailymotion. While Dailymotion has had a web launcher app available for quite some time now, they've gone ahead and scrapped all previous versions and released Dailymotion Video Stream -- essentially, a full fledged Android app offering all of what you would expect.
A new UI is now in place, users can share videos with ease and make use of the new customizable dashboard. Plus, add channels, playlists and user search making it easier to find the content you really want.
Dailymotion Video Stream is available now in the Android Market, you'll find the download link and the full press release beyond the break. Give it go and feel free to leave some comments -- I've used the app in the past but always found it rather buggy and hopefully v2.0 will fix that.

'When I heard it for the first time, I just started to laugh because it felt so surreal,' he tells MTV News of Throne's 'Blades of Glory' sample.
By James Montgomery

It's one of the biggest — and most inexplicable — hits of 2011, a song so popular that its hook was name-checked during player introductions on Sunday Night Football, so massive that Jay-Z and Kanye West have taken to performing it multiple times per set on their Watch the Throne Tour.
We're talking, of course, about "N---as in Paris," the max-impact Throne single that has become a sensation, thanks in no small part to producer Hit-Boy's bouncing beat, West's pop-cult wordplay ("What's that jacket, Margiela?") and, of course, a pair of oddball samples taken from Will Ferrell's 2007 figure-skating comedy "Blades of Glory."
As you're probably aware, "Paris" kicks off with Ferrell's grizzled Chazz Michael Michaels defiantly declaring, "We're gonna skate to one song and one song only," then really picks up steam mid-song, when (in a move that could alternately be described as "completely inspired" or "completely insane"), Hit-Boy drops the beat and lets the song roll on a second Ferrell sample: " No one knows what it means, but it's provocative ... it gets the people going!"
And, indeed, it has done just that. "Paris" currently sits atop Billboard's Hip-Hop/R&B Charts, dominates urban radio and has received a thunderous response at Throne shows. And, thanks to Ferrell's contributions, it's certainly one of the oddest mainstream hip-hop tracks in recent history too. And if you're wondering how the whole thing came to be, well, you're not the only one: Turns out, Ferrell's pretty mystified by the track too, as he told MTV News in an email Tuesday (November 8).
"Kanye reached out to me and I said, 'Of course,' " Ferrell wrote. "I was completely flattered when they asked if they could sample me into the song ... and when I heard it for the first time, I just started to laugh because it felt so surreal. But I really did like the song."
So much so, in fact, that Ferrell said he's hoping to take the Throne collaboration to the next level — "We were trying to film a piece that they would use on the video boards of their concert, but haven't gotten it together," he wrote — and the whole process has opened his eyes to an entirely new career opportunity: Being the go-to sample guy on the hip hop circuit.
"I think [something from] 'Step Brothers' would be good [to use in a song]," he wrote. "Or the Woody Allen movie I did, 'Melinda and Melinda.' "
Regardless of whether any of those ideas come to fruition, thanks to the "Paris" success, Ferrell can bask in his newfound street cred, which is certainly at an all-time high. And that's saying something for a guy who once starred opposite Andre 3000.
"It makes me feel very good," he wrote. "And completely justified for buying a V-neck sweater made out of nothing but diamonds."
Were you surprised by Will's Throne cameo? Let us know in the comments!

We go through the 'Twilight' stars' rumored projects to see what's really happening.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Robert Pattinson at "MTV First: Breaking Dawn"
Photo: MTV News
While we would be more than happy to continue to watch "Twilight" leading men Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner go on playing their star-making roles of Edward Cullen and Jacob Black forever, we only have two more movies to go before they retire their big-screen vampire and werewolf statuses for good. The good news is that in addition to the two-part "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn," both Pattinson and Lautner have plenty of film projects lined up to keep them up on the silver screen for the next few years.
When MTV News caught up with Pattinson and Lautner during "MTV First: Breaking Dawn," we played rumor patrol with their post-"Twilight" dockets.
First up, Lautner is rumored to be teaming up with Oscar winner Gus Van Sant to make a small-budget film based on a nonfiction article from The New Yorker. What is the status of that film? "Gus is an incredible director. I would love to have the opportunity to work with him," Lautner said. "Things are a little premature right now, but he's amazing."
We'll pencil in a "TBD" on that one. Next up, there are murmurs that Pattinson is up for the lead role in a Jeff Buckley biopic and that he's being considered for the big-screen adaptation of the Green Day musical "American Idiot."
"The Jeff Buckley thing, I just love Jeff Buckley's music," he offered as a possible explanation for how his name became attached. " 'American Idiot,' I don't know where that came from," Pattinson continued, at which point we let him know that lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong had mentioned Pattinson's name back in 2009.
"Really? That's pretty cool," Pattinson said.
So for those keeping score, Lautner might be doing a movie with Gus Van Sant, someday, and Pattinson has no idea about Jeff Buckley or "American Idiot."

'I'm just so stoked that all these cute girls that like vampires hear my song,' London says.
By Jocelyn Vena
Theophilus London

The soundtrack for "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" drops this week, 10 days before the fourth film in the "Twilight Saga" hits theaters. Chock-full of tracks by artists like Bruno Mars ("It Will Rain") and Christina Perri ("A Thousand Years"), the emotions on the album mirror the action in the Bill Condon-directed flick.
For his track, up-and-coming MC Theophilus London wanted to embrace another side of his musical persona. "It was very unusual to do the soundtrack. But as I progress more with my career, I want to do more stuff like that, soundtrack stuff," he told MTV News at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York City.
"So when they asked me do it, I was very privileged and pleased. I wanted to do a super emo song about neighbors and how neighbors are very important. A lot of people are freaking out, but it's a whole new fanbase for me. I'm just so stoked that all these cute girls that like vampires hear my song."
London wrote the track specifically for the flick, which opens November 18, however, he admitted that he hasn't even seen a moment of any "Twilight" flick.
"I wrote the song specifically for the movie without even seeing the movie," he explained. "I'm happy. I'm sure a lot of musicians and writers want to be a part of the soundtrack. I'm just happy that I got picked over all those other acts. I appreciate it and there's a lot more to come."
Don't fret, Twilighters. London has every intention of seeing this next film. "I haven't seen any of the movies, but I swear when this 'Twilight' movie comes out, I'm going to the regular movie theater in a black tie with my friends," he joked. "And we'll have a small little red carpet; just stand up in the theater and take our photos."

The HTC Thunderbolt has been quite a doozy for developers, we saw it take quite a while for the CyanogenMod team to get working data and unfortunately it seems all developers are facing the same issues. Getting the 3G / 4G LTE to work on custom ROM's has not been an easy task, but that hasn't stopped anyone from trying.
XDA forums member DroidVicious has been hard at work ironing out the kinks of his MIUI port for the HTC Thunderbolt, and the only thing non-functional at this point is the data, and SMS which he believes will resolve itself once the data is fixed. Sure, this does mean it is not yet ready for everyday use, but it is a step closer to more choices for Thunderbolt owners. If you are feeling brave, or have a few hours to spare that you don't need data connectivity, give it a shot!

Here's a quick look at the HD Dock for the Motorola Droid RAZR. It's a simple enough accessory -- you plug in the phone and dock mode launches. It's got a trio of modes -- music, office and bedside (though we'd argue you could easily combine music and bedside if you play your cards right).
Just like with the car dock, the HD dock presents big, bold graphics that are intuitive and easy to hit when you're fumbling around in the middle of the night, or after a 3 p.m. highball in the boardroom.
It's also got a bevy a USB ports in the back along with HDMI out should you want to take advantage of the Webtop capability and run a full version of Firefox from the phone instead of using a real laptop or desktop computer at your desk. There's also a 3.5 mm jack for audio out.
Our only real niggle here is that unsightly bulge that sticks out, but that's what you get when the ports are on the top of the phone. If you can overlook that, you've got yourself a fine-looking dock here. We've got more pics after the break.
